'Fantasy Focus' on the move...

Rotowire's popular 'Fantasy Focus' baseball show will be moving to blogtalkradio beginning Monday Feb. 16th.

The move is necessary because of the merger of the satellite radio providers XM and Sirius. The newly formed XM/ Sirius radio, decided to dump all daytime fantasy content.  This decision forced Rotowire to find a new home for the 'Fantasy Focus' show.

So what is blogtalkradio you ask?  Well, as always, The Real McCoy is quick with an answer in your time of need.  According to the blogtalkradio site, here is a brief description and history of this exciting site:
BlogTalkRadio is the social radio network that allows users to connect quickly and directly with their audience. Using an ordinary telephone and computer hosts can create free, live, call-in talk shows with unlimited participants that are automatically archived and made available as podcasts. No software download is required. Listeners can subscribe to shows via RSS into iTunes and other feed readers. Our network has produced tens of thousands of episodes since it launched in August of 2006.

'Fantasy Focus' will also be available in podcast form from Rotowire's podcast page, blogtalkradio, and itunes.  This in new as the podcast option wasn't available when 'Fantasy Focus' was on XM radio.  Here is Rotowire President Peter Schoenke's statement about these changes:
“We’re excited the show will to continue to run at the same time and format since it built a loyal audience over it’s four-year run on XM and really became the place to hear all the industry’s top experts,” RotoWire.com president Peter Schoenke told FSB.com. “The show will continue to be able to interact live with listeners through call-ins or a chat room via the BlogTalkRadio platform.”

'Fantasy Focus' will broadcast from noon to 1 p.m. every weekday.

Well, that's all for today.  Until we meet again:  Keep the FAN in FANtasy.
