The newly formed XM/ Sirius radio, decided to dump all daytime fantasy content. This decision forced Rotowire to find a new home for the 'Fantasy Focus' show.

So what is blogtalkradio you ask? Well, as always, The Real McCoy is quick with an answer in your time of need. According to the blogtalkradio site, here is a brief description and history of this exciting site:
BlogTalkRadio is the social radio network that allows users to connect quickly and directly with their audience. Our network has produced tens of thousands of episodes since it launched in August of 2006.

'Fantasy Focus' will also be available in podcast form from Rotowire's podcast page, blogtalkradio, and itunes. This in new as the podcast option wasn't available when 'Fantasy Focus' was on XM radio. Here is Rotowire President Peter Schoenke's statement about these changes:

“We’re excited the show will to continue to run at the same time and format since it built a loyal audience over it’s four-year run on XM and really became the place to hear all the industry’s top experts,” RotoWire.com president Peter Schoenke told FSB.com. “The show will continue to be able to interact live with listeners through call-ins or a chat room via the BlogTalkRadio platform.”

'Fantasy Focus' will broadcast from noon to 1 p.m. every weekday.

Well, that's all for today. Until we meet again: Keep the FAN in FANtasy.

The Real McCoy

www.stinkball.com

Where FANtasy is FUNtasy

To venture or not to venture that is the question

Not to make Mr. Shakespeare roll in his grave but that really is the question. My company needs capital to get started, to grow, and to become profitable. What is the best way to get that capital? I personally don't have the money to fund my business. My credit score is improving but is still not good enough to get a traditional bank loan. And besides, I don't think the bank will loan me the amount I'm looking to raise. I don't have any rich relatives who could loan me the money (at least I am unaware of any said rich relatives).
So what are my alternatives? OPM (other people's money)!! I could go after angel investors. I am researching that possibility but once again, I may not be able to raise enough money going that route.
So we come to the topic of this blog article: Venture Capital (cue ominous music). Venture Capital scares the bejezzus out of me. I get images of secret societies with secret handshakes and back alley deals. I imagine a VC (venture capitalist) asking me really tough questions that I have no answer for. I imagine myself making up figures just to make them happy. I see myself humbling myself before old men in gray suits and still not getting the money. Unrealistic? Perhaps but that is what is going on inside my head. Do I understand venture capital? Yeah, I think so but that doesn't mean I'm going to be successful if I try to raise venture capital. Am I confident in my management team? Yes, 100% confident but do they have a valid reason to have the same amount of confidence in me? I am learning and I will continue to learn what it is I need to learn in order to make Real McCoy Fantasy Sports a successful corporation. Right now that learning process is focused on preparing myself to enter the venture capital ring. The VCs are Mike Tyson in this arena when Mike was REALLY scary to face. Will my company be Michael Spinks and get knocked out in 90 seconds flat or will I bravely enter the fray as the next Buster Douglass and beat the odds and take the money from the champ? Only time will tell but it won't be for a lack of trying I can guarantee you that!!!
Anyone who wants to learn more about venture capital, read this article found at Wikipedia.com:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Venture_capital

-Jason

Welcome

This is the first blog posting for Real McCoy Fantasy Sports, Inc. The purpose of this blog is to organize my thoughts on the start-up process my Company is going through. Real McCoy Fantasy Sports is currently seeking venture capital to get the website at http://www.stinkball.com/ up and running. This has been a challenging yet rewarding process. It is not an easy one but nothing worthwhile is easy. The Board of Directors has been finalized and the PPM package will be ready soon to mail out to potential investors and VC firms. I recommend that anyone interested in investing in Real McCoy Fantasy Sports to email me, Jason McCoy, at visionquest1972@gmail.com I hope to speak to you again very soon...

-Jason
